Re: New member with A GC camera
Thanks for your consideration. This effort is not as much about learning more about your Mitchell as it is about keeping these precision clockwork survivors preserved and acknowledged. Registration gives you at least one factual document that validates the province of a camera other than hearsay whi...

Re: The Mark II was very light but other cameras prevailed
Just saw this post. Here is a basic timeline with serial numbers: The (Mk1) R35 first serial number was #5 (it appears the first 4 were design tests in some form) that was in 1961. A total of 53 were built. The last one was serial number 59 in early 1962. The R35 Mk II was a redesign of the original...

Re: Mitchell Magazine base widths
Yes. I do believe Ken Stone has one. I have seen one recently on eBay maybe from Wayne Goldwyn.... Have you investigated registering? Most often we have the date of sale and the original buyer on file. You get a nice certificate, the list is an international registration and the registration fee is ...

Re: Mitchell Magazine base widths
Yes on the Mk1& 2's. Both were designed for the NC mags which were thicker for sound usage. NC mags come only in 1K size because of sound. You could use standard mags and 400' on NC's and Sr35' s with an insert shim called a fork. The projection light through the viewer is a feature used on rostrum ...

Re: BNC #17 looking for any info
On the bench currently is BNC305 which was converted to an Nc-R at some point. I am in the process of taking it back to its original configuration (parts willing). A blimp to put it into to verify would be a plus. ED. 276E0381-677B-40AA-9D29-D2BCAF7280A4.jpeg 7A1FE805-DB9B-4AEF-B5AF-E3B45D05D167.jpeg
