My Mitchell standard 27 has insides which are stamped 27 except for the motor door, matt box and directors finder. You have a nice Mitchell as well.
The blimp? - actually I have 2. On one of them only has a badge with number 100 on the magazine section. The other one is 68 and is dated 1948.

Re: Can someone please identify my blimp?
Good morning Roy. Thank you for a most knowledgeable answer. You clearly know what you are talking about. The interior of this blimp is something I did not photograph but I can go to where it's stored and I can send you photos. The best way to describe the interior is that it is in excellent conditi...

Re: Can someone please identify my blimp?
Thanks for the great photos. I did not think of looking for photos on EBAY. I'll try to find more photos now that I know what I am looking for.

Re: Can someone please identify my blimp?
Many thanks for your prompt and informative reply Mark. It's wonderful to know that it is an MGM blimp. It's also good to know that it was colored gold originally. I'll take another very careful look to see if I can find a number. If I do I'll post it in this forum. As you can see the paint has peel...

Can someone please identify my blimp?
I am in Brisbane Australia and have a blimp without any markings. In phone discussion with Ed we have ascertained that the blimp was not made by Mitchell because it has no maker's markings anywhere on it. We have also assumed it was not made by Fearless either for the same reason (no markings) Ed Jo...

Re: Renting vintage Mitchell cameras as props
Thank you for providing this information. It is helpful. I noticed in another posting that you loaned your Mitchell to the folks producing the Laurel & Hardy film. It must be a thrill to see your camera starring in a feature film. I have been researching rental houses and some have a daily and weekl...

Renting vintage Mitchell cameras as props
I sometimes rent my Mitchell NC, Mitchell blimp and Mitchell tripods to feature film Producers as props only but knowing how much to charge is a challenge. I'd appreciate it if another collector of maybe a feature film Producer would let me know what a reasonable rate would be. In other words a dail...

Re: Mitchell Cameras; ownership history
Hi Mark, I trust everyone appreciates the time and effort folks like yourself, Ed and others contribute to this group. I would encourage everyone to register their Mitchell. I have registered my 2 Mitchells so far (an NC and a Standard) Not only do you get a certificate showing the first owner but t...

Wanting to buy a Worrell geared head
Does anyone have a working Worrell geared head for sale to suit my Mitchell cameras? (I have a Blimp and an NC) I am in Brisbane Australia and can't find one down here. I realise that the shipping is going to be expensive.
