The cameras were in use up to 2020! I didn’t realize they were still utilizing film cameras. Thanks for the info.

Re: Can someone please identify my blimp?
Oh, so you only have the blimps, got it. If you mean the badge 100 is on the outside of the blimp magazine cover, that would’ve been the camera number too, I am fairly certain. BNC 100 was sold 4/30/1952. I can’t quite make out the name, it’s J. Burgi or Durgi Contner or something similar. It’s writ...

Re: Can someone please identify my blimp?
Very cool camera! Thanks for sharing pictures! Is there a movement inside? You are very lucky to acquire such an old Mitchell, and one that was used by a major studio! I am attaching a picture of my Mitchell Standard, sold to Paramount in 1931. I was lucky enough to learn that when Paramount used th...

Re: Can someone please identify my blimp?
Wow, very cool about the microphone! It’s wonderful you are interested in preserving the history! I have a collection of cameras that I research to find out what they have filmed. I have gotten lucky and found records and photos of several of mine on many movies. I am going to try and attach a coupl...

Re: Can someone please identify my blimp?
Hello, very cool blimp. Yes, it is an MGM blimp, which I believe were originally painted gold. MGM likely hired a company to make them to MGM’s specs and it could’ve been any manufacturer. I do not know what company that was. If you ever take the paint off (carefully) be sure to keep an eye out for...

Re: Mitchell NC dimensions/measurements for 3D print
Richard, This website will come down at any time due to the founder passing away, so just be aware. The only NC that I have is house in the blimp (a BNC). Measurements are not really possible. Does it have to be a NC vs. a Standard? Although they look the same, there are some size differences. If Ed...

There is no update so it is still headed toward going dark. The Host may have a grace period. Don’t forget about Mitchell.info. Will have to see if we can get a blog going there.

Yes Patrick, that pretty much sums it up! I wasn't even thinking about the FFD but that's a good point, i guess it is close enough.
