Re: Mitchell Cameras; ownership history
Great to see these lenses have survived! Could you show the mount these use with the measurement? Must be somewhat unique size to accommodate the format which I'm sure most of us have never seen. Thanks. ED.

Re: Technicolor Tripod
Looked up tripod sizes and found this in my copy of "Professional Cameraman's Handbook" from 1981.

Re: Mitchell Cameras; ownership history
Ok. My imagination has been rejuvenated. I guess for mos, this works. Always picture Technicolor cameras in that huge boxy uber-blimp that looks like 4 grips were needed to lift it. Great pix! ED.

Re: Mitchell Cameras; ownership history
This has a standard Mitchell mount? Somehow I cannot imagine a full-blown threestrip Technicolor on this. Let alone with a Moy gear head. No doubt authentic. Just crazy DP's & addled grips. Nevertheless, kool. ED.

Ken Stone is your best bet if you haven't talked to him yet. Are you after looks or actual functionality? ED.

Re: Mitchell tripod
Tiffany, Yes, please get that light off. As to price guidelines, the best possible would be with the pan/tilt handle and a Mitchell badge on the wood tripod. Current and past sales put a value of between $600 & $800. There is one currently on E-bay for $1300 that has all the essentials. No badge on ...

Mitchell SSR16 #118 for sale with extras
I have decided that my SSR16 (featured as the last camera in my Member's Article videos: " Blimped cameras that made the movies".) After reviewing my camera collection, this camera simply does not fit and is being offered for sale. The package includes a functioning same era transistorized Auricon e...

Re: MItchell BNC Blimp
Sorry, assumed was #14. Yes better shot of viewfinder. Assuming older expected to see the clamp-on rig. Yep, lens mount, shutter connections, motor, rackover mod. and some finesse. But an NC not a bad start. Sad no cast number on/in blimp casing. Other camera: 298 looks to be in sweet condition. ED.

Re: MItchell BNC Blimp
Just saw this. The motor blimp box is for a Cinema Products replacement crystal motor. BNC #14 would be a Warners camera from a batch bought in 1938. You state you have the sidefinder cams but do not see the bracket on the sidefinder that is necessary to make the cams function. As this is an early m...
