Stein Color Cameras (Mitchell Standard Copy)

Post by Stein8perf » Sun Oct 11, 2015 10:27 am

Here is a link to pictures of my Stien 8 perf camera (the only one with 3-pin registration) Crystal drive motor built into the camera base. Also other picture's of Stein cameras that were built at ILM for Harry Walton. The old gentleman is the late Les Day. Les was a camera technician extraordinaire and from whom I bought my Stein back in 1994. The only guy I knew that could build lens mounts and adapters and machine movement parts from scratch and not have to have a drawing because it was all in his head.

Hello and thanks for the pictures. Is the black painted camera you show all original? I am trying to figure out what the original front looked like. Do you know? Did it have a turret? Single lens? Thanks, Mark
