"Wide Angle Finder"

Post by nitrate » Tue Aug 04, 2020 8:07 pm

These are pictures of something called a "Wide Angle Finder." It was used by a set designer at Fox to check the sets for CinemaScope films during the 1950s. The name "Finder" and its shape suggest it's a simplified, lightweight version of the Mitchell Side Finder. I have not been able to find any information about it. I would appreciate any information anyone could offer about it. Thank you.
